EXTREME READING!
Welcome to the 16th annual B.C. Summer Reading
Club.
Get ready for some reading outside the lines
with this year's theme, Extreme Reading!
If you like extremely adventurous, funny, magical, informative, scary,
mysterious or cool books, this is the club for you.
Summer is often the only time kids have to read
what they want to, when they want to, and where they want to. Extreme
Reading adds a little extra incentive with fun reading records,
helpful booklists, colourful stickers, cool activities, and, of course,
this neat-o website.
When school gets out, head down to your local
public library to find out how you can sign up for Extreme
Reading and to see what's happening there this summer. There's
something for extreme readers of all ages.
Join the 80,000 other B.C. children who are expected
to join in the fun!
This reading program is sponsored by the British
Columbia Library Association and your local public library with the
assistance of the Public Library Services Branch, Ministry of Education,
Shirley Bond, Minister.
